Announcing the introduction of POW – Pliable Optimized Wear putty for enhanced erosive and abrasive wear in oilfield drill bits. DiaPac LLC produces a range of pliable pastes designed for manual placement in matrix bit molds in regions where enhanced resistance to erosion and abrasion is required. The manual application of the putty is followed by normal matrix powder back filling and infiltration. However, the bit surface in the regions where POW is applied exhibit many times the wear resistance of conventional matrix materials.
